Fire Disaster Demon
Having gotten their answer, Shade and Miss Danist had no time to sample Emilia's flower tea. They rose to investigate the ruins, and the Elf Girl immediately said she wanted to come too, probably hoping to show Miss Danist how proactive she was.
The ruins were quite close to the elves' Tree House, so there was no need to ride the Luku Birds. When the three arrived at the ruins Shade knew so well beneath the gloomy sky, even Miss Danist had to admit:
"All right, there really isn't much left here."
A few floor tiles remained on the ground, while the only half-wall still standing held no value at all.
The Elf Girl then reminded them:
"Besides the aboveground section, there is also an underground section. That is where this Time Temple stored its secrets. The entrance is inside the hollow of this tree—those Luku Birds helped me find some documents about this place."
She pointed again to the great tree at the center of the ruins. Of course Shade knew there was a Tree Hollow there, since the end of the space beneath it was where he appeared every time.
"Oh, so that's how it is!"
He thus understood that the small area between the exit of the Hidden Passage and the upward spiral staircase really had only been a "storage room."
"Then how is the Tree Hollow supposed to be opened properly?"
Shade asked again. Every time, he had used the Night Watchman or the Yggdrasil Staff to enhance his casting of Door Key, but that was obviously not the proper method.
This time, the Elf Girl shook her head. The ruins' history was simply too ancient, and she did not know all their secrets.
