Adele did not finish the sentence, merely making a gesture Shade did not quite understand. But Shade knew what she meant.
"In any case, with that Words of Sublimation, Annette could defeat me as soon as she entered the high rings. Though that was also because I wasn't in top condition."
She pressed her face against Shade's chest again, her voice growing much quieter. The crackling of the campfire nearly blended with her voice. If this were not the apocalypse, if this were merely an idle night in Reality World, Shade felt that even spending the entire night on the sofa talking like this while holding Adele would not be boring.
"Do you remember the Mid-Ring Words of Sublimation I mentioned? The Silver Moon's Shadow, Guides the Final Direction.
"Now I have gathered all four types of Spirit Runes for the eighth ring, and the Spirit Runes for my Words of Sublimation are complete as well. I'm guessing what effect my Mid-Ring Words of Sublimation will have."
As Shade spoke, Adele went along with her lover:
"The latter half of your Mid-Ring Words of Sublimation is exactly the same as Annette's Low-Ring Words of Sublimation—'Guides the Final Direction.' Only the first half differs. Perhaps the ultimate effect of your Words of Sublimation also guides forth a scene from the Doomsday Era, only through a different method. The First Silver Moon, the Silver Moon's Shadow... Annette guides the Silver Moon to fall to the earth, while yours is a lunar eclipse?"
That sounded quite reasonable, though it would make it somewhat similar to Shade's Mystic Lock—Doomsday City Tobesk. But that Mystic Lock, like the Calamity Cards, could not be used too often. Yet according to Adele, Long-Haired Luvia's Words of Sublimation could be used whenever she wished.
