A faint glow flashed in the washroom, and Shade, his face still bearing lipstick marks, fell into the bathtub, clutching the Door Pendant in his hand.
He stared blankly at the washroom ceiling for quite a while before struggling to get up, only for the Black Key on his chest to clatter onto the floor. The familiar ceiling and bathtub showed that this was his own room aboard the Radiance Messenger:
"I'm back. Until we meet again, I'll have to wait until next month."
Was he reluctant to part with her?
"Of course. She's all alone in the Doomsday Era. Of course I can't bear to leave her."
Shade thought to himself as he continued struggling to sit up. Unfortunately, he had gotten stuck in the bathtub when he returned, and he was too lazy to transform and fly out, so it took him quite a while to stand.
To avoid waking the young ladies who were still asleep, Shade had not turned on the lights when he came in. After tidying up what he had left behind in the darkness and changing into his pajamas, he finally looked at himself in the mirror.
Of course, the main purpose was to make sure there were no traces of Adele left on his face.
That whole series of actions took quite a while, to the extent that the sudden knocking sound startled Shade.
"Shade, what are you doing in there?"
It was Luvia's voice. Shade hurriedly moved farther inside the washroom before answering:
"Do you need to use it? I'll be done right away."
"Sir Knight, after you went into the washroom, I only heard you changing clothes. I didn't hear you using the toilet."
"I..."
"Shade, don't tell us you need a Silence Charm just to use the toilet."
