"Good evening, Shade. Are you here to see Emilia? Emilia, you talk with Shade. I'll come see you tomorrow. Thank you for the gift you brought back."
The little princess waved to the elf, then hid what she was holding behind her back. After carefully slipping around Shade, she hurried out of the room.
Shade asked with some concern:
"Emilia, you didn't give Angelina a book, did you? Leisha has been strictly checking Angelina's book collection lately. If she finds out, she'll be furious."
"What book? The gift I gave Angelina was clothes."
The blonde elf immediately replied, though she was too embarrassed to say what kind of clothes they were.
She crouched down to tidy her open suitcase, only to find Shade kneeling on one knee on the other side of it. Together, they sorted everything inside, and then Shade temporarily moved the suitcase into the room's walk-in closet.
"Shade, go visit Miss Olanord again. She's only just arrived here, so she might still be having trouble adjusting."
When Shade emerged from the closet, the little elf said this with a faint blush. Shade could tell what she meant:
"I'm worried about you too. You just came back, and you need time to adjust to this environment as well."
