As he spoke, Shade tossed Vanessa upward, sending her flying higher into the sky, while he plunged toward the ground through the black mist.
The black mist swallowed Shade, but in the next second, moonlight lit up within the filthy fog. The moonlight expanded through the darkness until a silver wolf over ten meters tall landed on the ground.
Beneath the full silver moon, Vanessa felt that the Silver Wolf Shade had become even more sacred. But immediately afterward, the "Shade Wolf" did something far from sacred—
It opened its mouth and inhaled fiercely, directly sucking in the black mist spewed out by the worm.
"Mm."
The young witch decided that before she kissed Shade next time, she absolutely had to make him rinse his mouth and brush his teeth properly.
Fortunately, although that black mist was enough to turn the woodland into Mad Earth, swallowing it did not affect Shade's health. After all, he had eaten filthier things before.

Pure silver Moon Fire ignited the black mist and spread back along the direction from which it had come.
Though Moon Fire was a divinely bestowed flame, a power that only the chosen of the Moon Sage could wield during the Ancient Epoch, it was not strictly offensive in Shade's hands—it could now only dispel curses and heal diseases.
Yet when facing the
