Dragon roars came from the clouds above the great tree. Before the two young red dragons rushing over to help even appeared, scorching Dragon Breath had already rained down from the sky. Although the breath was immediately blocked by a transparent shield, the two red dragons continued diving, intercepting the swarm flying from the forest beyond the hill.
A Worm coiled around Shade at the top of the canopy. Shade opened his mouth and scorched its head with Moon Fire. As the two remained locked in stalemate, a Worm that had broken through the others' defenses buzzed its wings and flew toward him. But a beam of pure white light shot from the depths of the forest, piercing straight through the flying insect attempting a surprise attack.
Elderon, the stern-faced blond elf Thirteenth Ring Warlock known as the Lord of the Valley, emerged from the woods with several hundred elven archers. The corrupted treants gradually halted under the influence of an ancient ritual formed by the elves. Then, as the elves drew their bows together, it was as though hundreds of Fire Meteors rose into the sky before flying straight toward the canopy.
The people hanging beneath the canopy were still being controlled by vines, reaching out in an attempt to reinforce the defenses. A dense, layered shield resembling Fish Scales appeared, intercepting most of the flaming arrows. But as Shade atop the canopy suddenly increased the output of Moon Fire from his mouth, two flaming arrows still managed to strike the trunk.
That naturally did little damage, but it at least showed that the trinity evil being could not handle such a complicated situation all at once while facing attacks from so many sides.
