Shade had originally planned to visit friends today. Though it was already past one in the afternoon, after eating the lunch prepared by the maids, he still decided to go out as planned. Otherwise, tomorrow would be even busier.
Of course, before leaving, he did not forget to collect the final weekly gift of the year 1854. Since he was leaving through the basement anyway, he drew the gift there before setting out.
