Their shoulders were nearly touching. The Dragon Scale Sword poised to thrust forward rested against the staff inherited from the Snow Mountain tribe. At the same moment the enemy high on the snowy slope behind the curtain of wind and snow released black light, blazing sunlight appeared precisely at the tips of the sword and staff, without any countdown beforehand:
"Sunlight Ray/Sun Flare Ray!"
The dazzling scarlet-gold radiance even merged completely. The witch's platinum-gold hair streamed backward in the light, while the hem of Shade's black coat fluttered in the wind as well. Smiling, he recklessly poured out his immense spirit, feeling as though Little Mia were racing through his mind. A smile appeared on the witch's lips too. Though she still faced an enemy, it had truly been a long time since she had felt so exhilarated.
It was like collapsing onto a pillow when exhausted, like having friends and family nearby to share a story with when joy filled one's heart.
The power of the Sun, symbolizing "supreme power," perfectly fused their spirits. The scarlet-gold light formed by Sun joining Sun collided in the next instant with the black radiance erupting from the Demon Sword. The former was a mixture of Miracle and Enlightenment Elements, while the latter was pure Whisper Element power.
Miss Claire Reinhart was even somewhat astonished. She was surprised that this "man," who had just been using ice, snow, and Moon Power, possessed such outstanding talent for Sun Power as well. Of course, Shade had never actually studied Sun Power. His Sunlight Ray came from "Enlightenment—Witch Light." As for his already demonstrated talent for the Sun, which even
