"You have a unicorn?"
Not only Miss Reinhart, but even Miss Larson, who was sitting obediently beside her teacher, looked at Shade in surprise. Shade hurriedly shook his head:
"I mean, would alien creatures like unicorns work? Sister Devlin mentioned that there's a large herd of ownerless wild Luku Birds in Vesta Woodland, wandering around the forest all day with nothing to do. How about we bring back a few and keep them in town as mounts for going up the mountain?
I heard they're all excellent climbers. After a running start, a strong adult Luku Bird can even run straight across the surface of a lake."
The white-haired Witch Apprentice's eyes immediately lit up. She had clearly never seen a real Luku Bird before. After giving it careful thought, however, the witch did not immediately approve Shade's suggestion:
"The proposal is worth considering. The tribe doesn't prohibit such cute little things from going up the mountain, but I heard the Luku Birds of Vesta Woodland belong to... You know about what happened in Vesta Woodland?"
She suddenly asked this, slowly turning the boat to prevent the three of them from really charging straight into the sea.
Shade nodded.
"I know. Sister Devlin told me about it. She said many witches took part in that high-intensity battle. Miss Reinhart, didn't you and Miss Larson go? I heard nearly half of the Witch Council was there."
The platinum blonde hair young girl seemed rather embarrassed.
"His Excellency the Speaker did say the Council had been terribly short on manpower, so if I had time, I should try to support Vesta Woodland.
But Stella and I were held up by matters in the Archipelago Kingdom. We were in Kelageli at the time. We
