"I had always guessed that the true Upper Spring was hidden near the Temple of the God of Fate atop the Snow Mountain. Perhaps if we find the Upper Spring, we can find that temple."
That was Luvia's voice. Claire, meanwhile, remained skeptical:
"I feel your purpose is more than just that. You never reveal what you are really thinking. It is like how you said you wanted to support my apprentice in becoming a Chosen One, but I know that was definitely not why you came to Fatumonst Island."
Luvia seemed to chuckle.
"Say whatever you like. I have already made her the current first in line, yet you still doubt my intentions? Fine then. I came here today to secretly murder you, sink your corpse into the water as well, and see whether the purpose of this ritual truly is to reinforce the Snow Mountain's seal."
Claire sounded rather displeased.
"If you do not want to tell me, then do not. There is no need to threaten me like that."
Luvia was clearly in a very good mood.
"You really are different from the other Great Witches. If it were them, they would already be fighting me. But if you truly want to know what I am doing, there is no harm in telling you. Those Relics that manipulate fate are simply far too troublesome. I am looking for a way to counter them."

Then came the sound of footsteps. They had turned around, their backs to the spring, to look at the murals.
