With Shade's little boat, the group was able to move more safely and quickly.
After continuing onward, aside from encountering a group of White Candle Monks with white candles atop their heads, they ran into no other trouble for quite some time.
As their destination drew nearer, everyone's mood improved slightly. The cold wind rushed into their faces as the boat sped along. The thin mist had become dense fog here, making the lightless plain appear even more terrifying.
The fog grew thicker and thicker, until even Sister Belen, holding her lantern high, could not illuminate anything beyond half a meter around the boat. Something was clearly wrong, yet even the Hounds could not immediately recall what this was a sign of.

The tombstone-filled wasteland was no longer on either side. Walls appearing would have been a trivial matter, but the real issue was that above them was no longer a black sky. Just two meters overhead lay a thick rock wall. Though Enhanced Space Perception was not particularly reliable in a place where spacetime was so chaotic, Shade could still sense that they were underground.
The Hounds had told them that the underground portion of the Gravestone Wasteland was far larger than its surface area, and that the underground
