In the darkness not far away from the angel's corpse, the black coffin gradually became clear, and the hand wearing a bracelet at the edge of the coffin reached out again.

Its bony fingers pointed at the corpse, and the body completely turned into dry bones. Yet the heart and two eyeballs remained among the skeleton. Then, as the Gold Bracelet on the bony wrist at the edge of the black coffin trembled slightly, the angel's corpse silently split into four pieces.

The bones, heart, and eyeballs flew in different directions, but the foot bones of the left leg and the connected lower-leg bones remained where they were.

Those remaining bones slowly flew toward the black coffin and were grasped by the bony palm wearing the Gold Bracelet. Then the bones all returned inside the black coffin.

"So after the Deathbringer Angel died, it was the God of Graves who dealt with its corpse, and He still kept part of the angel's remains?"

The palm covering Shade's eyes finally moved away, but he still could not move and could only look toward the darkness above the coffin.

Yet the other corpse lying beside him was still moving. Shade quickly felt something cold grasp his right hand, and the soft reminder from "her" beside his ear that she had sensed "Blasphemy" told him what had taken his hand—it was the skeletal left hand.

Then he heard a faint voice beside his ear. It was hoarse and indistinct, yet so close that it was as though something had pressed directly against his ear to speak—

"Do you yearn for death?"

Shade knew very well that if he gave an affirmative answer, he would most likely receive a fine reward from this evil god. But he did not do so:

"No."
