Both elders possessed the ability to draw upon the Snow Mountain's power. Within these mountains, their perception was certainly not that of ordinary Eleventh Rings.
Elder Harald described the feeling:
"It was like a snake about to molt, like a butterfly about to break from its cocoon. Though he was over fifty, his Spiritual Power was exceptionally full. When he looked at us, I felt that his eyes were not seeing physical forms. He could see things on a deeper level."
"Grandfather, what are they doing here?"
Claire asked.
"They said they were inspecting the Snow Mountain before the Ten Thousand Spirits Festival, so they would not have to come up the mountain during the festival. If you ask me, it is never convenient for them to come. I suspect they saw Vilda and me here, so they only claimed to be taking a look. If we had not been here, who knows what they might have done."
"So those three diviners just exchanged a few words with you before leaving?"
Shade asked again. Elder Vilda shook his head.
"They said they would visit the town before the Ten Thousand Spirits Festival to ask us some questions. Also, they asked about this mural and whether we knew what kind of pigments had been used to paint it."
He pointed at the mural. When the young people all looked over, he proactively gave them the answer:
"The pigments in this mural have the same composition as the ink used on the Snake Skin Scrolls in town. There is even a theory that the Ancestors developed the special pigments used later based on this ancient mural. But of course, we will not tell the Seer Association that."
He called for everyone to head down the mountain together. It was already getting late,
