Dorothy is a Tobesk writer and a Saint Byron’s Ring Arcanist whose power system is rooted in fairy tales. As a Low-Ring Arcanist, she used [Writer] to draw Enlightenment from stories and summon fairy-tale characters; she and Leisha intended to develop [Acting] at the Mid-Ring stage by personally embodying those roles. 645

Her fate is closely bound to Princess Leisha Cavendish. Beginning in the winter of 1852, the two were subject to recurring forced identity exchanges, letting Dorothy experience palace life while Leisha lived as an ordinary writer. They recorded those experiences in diaries and gradually formed a deep attachment. 823

Dorothy’s Fifth Ring promotion ritual exposed the danger of their connection. When Leisha appeared within Dorothy’s ritual mirror, the two suffered severe soul pain on approaching one another.
