The snow did not grow heavier, and the two waiting before the grave continued to wait. When the setting sun cast the entire cemetery in golden light, someone else approached from the cemetery gates without an umbrella.
From afar, Shade saw that he was a middle-aged man of unremarkable height. As he drew a little closer, Shade saw the symbol representing "human" above his head. He was dressed entirely in black, with neatly combed hair, but his features were delicate and feminine, and his chin was completely clean-shaven.
Shade did not need to guess before Tifa whispered quietly, just before the man truly approached:
"A eunuch. He probably worked at Yodel Palace."
Tobesk's largest source of eunuchs was the Eunuch Attendants of Yodel Palace. They were often obscure in reputation, yet possessed secrets others could scarcely imagine, and some even held power.
Nor did Eunuch Attendants necessarily serve at Yodel Palace for their entire lives. As long as it did not involve a classified post, they could of course resign and leave. As for whether Military Intelligence Section Six would keep watch over them afterward, that was something only Director Anlos knew.
But regardless, the appearance of a eunuch attendant suspected to have once served at Yodel Palace was enough to show just how far House of Resurrection had developed.
The newcomer did not introduce himself or give his name to Shade. It was as though he had known Shade and Tifa for a long time. After giving them a slight nod, he said:
