"How could I not worry?"
Luvia took the twenty-sided Silver Dice from Shade's hand to inspect it, but quickly returned it to him.
"It's all my fault. If I hadn't rashly done what I did tonight, you wouldn't have been targeted by an evil god."
Shade laughed.
"I feel that even without what happened tonight, the God of Misfortune would have come looking for me by the end of Fatumonst Island's story. Don't argue with me. My intuition is very accurate."
He stroked Luvia's hair.
"The God of Luck is the White Sacred Tree, an Old God worshipped by the Hermits of the Forest. Although that Old God is no longer around, I might be able to get help from the Hermits. Besides, I already said this isn't my first time facing an evil god. I'll handle this."
She looked up at him from his arms and nodded softly, guilt in her expression. Shade looked into her eyes and asked again:
"Do you know? Your eyes are even more captivating now than they were before."
A faint smile appeared on Luvia's face as well.
"Shade, even if you say that, I can't go downstairs with you tonight. I don't want to make a mess everywhere... But if you only want to experience these eyes..."
She paused, then leaned close to Shade's ear with a blush on her face and whispered a few words. Shade was startled.
"You're joking, right? How could that work?"
Luvia did not seem to care.
"Just like before, can't we use False Immortality?"
But then she worried:
"Although you often praise my eyes for being large, compared to that, they don't seem large enough. They should still be enough. Which side would you choose? I remember you usually start from the left."
"Stop!"
