Upon touching the Demon Hunting Seal, the shadow was sent flying again as though struck by tremendous force. By then, Shade had already pulled the dagger from Miss Coens's chest and plunged it straight into the shadow.

It wanted to flee, to escape deeper into the hotel, but the shadow could only struggle futilely in place. Strands of black lines were continuously absorbed by the black dagger, causing more and more blasphemous symbols to appear on its previously unadorned blade.

Only when the shadow vanished completely with an angry shriek did the dagger clang onto the floor. The silver blasphemous symbols on it flickered as though breathing, and the entire dagger trembled without stop.

Suppressing his physical discomfort, Shade hurriedly took out the wooden miniature coffin he had prepared, one that matched the dagger's size—though it was actually a real coffin turned into a toy. After tossing the dagger inside, he endured the headache and continued casting the spell:

"Coffin of the Underworld!"

The holy emblem of the Old God—the God of Graves—appeared above the miniature coffin. It then transformed into a small black skeleton that sprawled atop the lid and tightly embraced the coffin. The seal was complete. Though, according to Doctor Schneider, this could only contain the Demon temporarily, it was enough for Shade.

Leaning on his longsword, he helped the trembling Miss Coens to her feet. Just as he was about to speak, he noticed that the bloody smell in the corridor seemed much stronger than just now.

Drip.

A viscous liquid fell onto his forehead. Shade did not need to look up to know it was blood. At the same time, a dark-red glow appeared ahead. Looking forward, Shade saw a tall figure dripping blood all over its body standing at the edge of the candlelight,
