Since the formidable-looking methods of that nine-ring woman had proved ineffective, Shade stopped holding back. Without those annoying threads blocking him, he turned into moonlight again and this time passed straight through the woman's body.
But as the Ring Arcanist, cleaved into four pieces, fell to the ground, her corpse scattered across the snow as a large mass of black threads.
"Not the main body?"
"It was probably some kind of avatar ability. It was never the main body from the very beginning."
Flora, descending from the sky, said this. As for Claire, she had already gone after the cultists who had been allowed to flee and would likely return with results soon.
As for the Omen Wolf Pack, they had not left after the two groups of humans began fighting. Instead, they stood together and watched the humans battle one another, their ghostly blue eyes containing an emotion humans could not understand. Now that all the cultists of the Misfortune Order had left, they still had not gone, remaining on the heights of the Snowy Ground and continuing to watch Shade.
The wolves' bodies were translucent milky white, faintly glowing in the blizzard night. The one surrounded at the center was clearly the alpha wolf. It looked at Shade and licked its paws. After hesitating for a moment, Shade transformed into a Silver Wolf amid the snow.
The Owl spread its wings and flew high, seeing from above that the alpha wolf had left its companions and was walking toward Shade Wolf.
The alpha wolf was at least three times larger than the Silver Wolf with its beautiful fur. The two wolves stopped two meters apart in the snow. The silver wolf glowed, and so did the spirit wolf.
Flora had originally thought the two wolves would howl a
