At eleven o'clock that night, Shade, who had gone out alone, summoned Doctor Schneider from a mirror at the crossroads outside Kael-Todd Town. Only after the summoning ritual ended did the moonlight shine upon the place again. After crawling out of the mirror with his suitcase, the Doctor immediately took a deep breath of fresh air:
"When peaceful days come, I'll definitely visit places like this often to vacation from the Demon's influence."
He looked eastward:
"It isn't Black Hand-Tifron. I can sense someone preparing to summon a lesser Demon. It probably isn't the Demon itself; it is likely controlling ordinary people again. Detective, I'll deal with the problem over there first, then meet up with you."
"Doctor, please wait a moment."
Thus, five minutes later, Priest Augustus, whom Grace and Helen had brought over, also walked out of the town. Since he was out on business, the Priest was no longer wearing his clerical robes.

As for the Doctor, if Black Hand-Tifron did not appear, there would be no need for him to act. But given tonight's circumstances, the chances of that Demon not appearing were basically zero.
