Wandering ahead at random would only bring them back here again. If there had been a witch or Shade by her side, they might have been able to help think of a solution. Ellie admitted that she was not the sort of Unicorn who was particularly good at thinking.

Seeing Little Liana shiver, Ellie wanted to move the cat from atop her own head to Little Liana's. But compared to the cold, Little Liana was clearly more afraid of the cat, so she refused Ellie's kindness:

"Neigh~" (Let's go around once more.)

After setting out again, Ellie worked hard to find the correct path through the curtain formed by wind and snow. She had already discovered that her inspiration was not very useful in this area. Even summoning that semi-solid Pure White Apple again could not make her inspiration function properly.

So Ellie walked in the direction opposite to her inspiration once more, but before long, she again saw that enormous piece of crushed ice bearing Unicorn poke marks.

By now, Little Liana had leaned against Ellie for warmth. Given the Unicorns' physical gifts, this alone was enough to show just how harsh the current environment was.

Ellie felt quite guilty:

"Neigh~" (Let's rest for now and think of something afterward.)

"Neigh~" (No, isn't time rather tight right now?)

"Neigh~" (I need to take care of you and the cat. Rest first.)

"Neigh~" (No. Emilia and your master are still waiting for us.)

Little Liana insisted on not resting, which made Ellie feel even worse. She rubbed against her younger kin again, and Little Liana rubbed back in response.

"Neigh~" (Then let's keep going, but you have to protect yourself.)

"Neigh~" (You have to protect yourself too. Even if we really can't get out, I'll keep following you.)

"Neigh~" (Liana~)
