After seeing the young ladies off in the Teleportation Gate Room, Shade remained in the castle. He turned to look at Winnie, and the maid understood what he meant:
"Now that the key to the castle has been found, the fifth floor, which belongs to Her Majesty Chloe's private quarters, has been opened. Would you like to look around before lunch?"
"Of course."
Shade asked curiously again:
"Did Chloe really live here? Or did she merely use the fifth floor as a temporary resting place during her experiments?"
The crystal-clear maid replied:
"Her Majesty Chloe rested for two nights in the Master Bedroom on the fifth floor. Although the bedding from that time has long since been replaced, the bed itself is still the original one. Shall we visit the bedroom first and reminisce about Her Majesty?"
"No, no, I'm just curious. But we can stop by and take a look later."
The fifth floor of the Ice and Snow Castle was also quite large. It contained functional areas such as a private living room, private study, personal maid's living quarters, dressing room, music room, art studio, Meditation Room, Prayer Room, Astrology Room, and more. There was even a small conservatory specifically for afternoon tea.
However, according to Winnie, Chloe had never used most of the rooms here. During the several millennia the castle had remained sealed, aside from the ice furniture, there was actually little left on the fifth floor.
Still, Shade found five books engraved on Ice Slabs in Chloe's study, and discovered an oil painting frozen within ice in her Prayer Room. The painting depicted Fatumonst Snow Mountain.
"Her Majesty painted this herself. If you study it for a long time, there is a chance you may obtain a Spirit Rune or Thaumaturgy."
Winnie explained once again.
