Ms. Handel and Joey Barton had other matters to attend to, so Shade did not keep them for dinner at Fragrant Residence. As he saw them downstairs, he asked again about their progress in searching for Wei Ge's Mother. Unfortunately, neither of them had found any clues so far.
However, Joey Barton did provide Shade with a very important piece of information:
"The boundaries of the world are becoming blurred. A strange space containing boundless Life Energy is drawing closer to the area where this city is located."
Shade froze.
"You mean the Sea of Origin? You can sense that the Sea of Origin is approaching Arcadia?"
The cursed soul nodded.
"I can vaguely sense it, but I cannot say exactly when that region will descend. Before the Red Sea truly arrives, however, the tide will certainly reach this place first."
He explained:
"Perhaps the local waters will suddenly turn red. Perhaps some area will suddenly be flooded. Perhaps there will be other phenomena. In any case, the approach of that space cannot be stopped."
Shade voiced something he had considered before:
"What would happen if the Sea of Origin were connected to that black body of water you, I, and everyone else know about?"
Aside from the utterly impossible plan of using the Sun to evaporate the Sea of Origin, this was the only method Shade could currently think of to resist that Red Ocean. He had only settled on the idea after dreaming of the little black cat and Madam Haila Osenfott a few days ago.
Ms. Handel shook her head.
"We do not know what would happen either. But before determining the consequences, it would be best not to do that. The ocean in which the Creator created life is anchored to the concept of the 'Land
