Shade did not stay for dinner that evening. Only after reminding Wei Ge to strengthen the defenses of Fragrant Residence did he return home.
Luvia had just gotten off work and was at home listening to Dorothy recount the afternoon's events. Ellie had not left yet either and was busy in the kitchen with Winnie pulling her along.
