Hearing even a god praise Little Mia, Shade immediately smiled:
"Yes, this cat is called Little Mia. She has lived with me for a long time. I previously discovered that she carries the bloodline of a Sun Child, and she can even spit little fireballs. Little Mia, this god possesses Sun Power. Quickly greet this Great One."
As Shade stroked the cat, she looked at him and was just about to meow at the tall, strikingly well-proportioned being when the god spoke again:
"Child from distant spacetime, it seems you have not realized that she possesses even greater power."
Shade thought again of Little Mia's "Wrong Evolution" form:
"I have seen Little Mia use stronger power before, but that requires very special circumstances."
The god smiled gently, leaving Shade no chance to bring up having Little Mia say hello again:
"If, before you leave this time, you can have the woman downstairs who is carrying a child come before me of her own accord and make a request, I can grant this cat a ray of sunlight."
Shade froze, greatly surprised:
"You are truly generous."
But after thanking her, he hesitated before speaking again:
"But I will not force a mother whom Destiny has played a cruel joke on to make a choice just for the reward you offer. Though I do not know her story, I can guess that she has already made a bitter choice."
"I am merely waiting for your answer."
The god said gently. Shade nodded lightly, then wanted to persuade Little Mia to offer her thanks as well, but the god clearly did not intend to let Shade and the cat remain in this dream any longer:
"Go. Guide those lost people before me. May the Sun and Moon protect you."
