When the subject came up, the priest seemed rather worried:

"I'm not a Church Ring Arcanist, so I can't learn any more specific details. From what is currently known, the local Nature Church believes that problems could arise in all three passages."

Among the Five Gods Church, the Church of Nature and evil thoughts had been the first to spread its faith locally. All the seals on the door at the foot of the mountain were currently centered around the Nature Church. Even the Nature Church's location in reality corresponded to the location of that door in the Interstice.

"So all of them could have problems."

Shade had no solution for such matters, but fortunately, it was not a responsibility he needed to bear. The only thing he had to do in this city was gather enough intelligence, then, once Luvia divined information about the third Chosen One, use his preparations to find the target in one stroke.

"The door at the mountain summit in the Interstice is suppressed by an Ancient One. The door on the mountainside vanished because of the Witch Emperors' concealment. The Church knows this information too, but clearly not as much as I do."

This was not because the Church was incompetent or because Priest Augustus was exceptionally capable. Shade believed it was purely because the Level 0 Relic on the priest's person, which was suspected to be connected to the First Angel, was simply too powerful.

Before the food arrived, Shade voiced his thoughts:

"Priest, I've made some friends in Middlesburg over the past few days. After dinner, let's visit the House of the Blind. They are actually the local base of the Order of Spiritual Cultivation."
