Luvia did not leave Shade's home that morning. The two spent the entire morning discussing the Fourth Chosen One. After having lunch together at noon, she and Shade, who was holding the cat, took a Four-wheeled Rental Carriage to Doctor Schneider's clinic for their meeting.
A light snowfall came again at noon, but it had stopped by the time they reached Röntgen Avenue.
Since Tobesk had appeared peaceful on the surface that week, none of the five group members had any fresh news to share. Besides once again stressing the importance of next month's exam week, the doctor also reminded everyone to guard against theft:
"I heard from the black market that a Humanoid Relic skilled at theft has appeared in the city recently."
The doctor explained the information he had received:
"This relic targets everyone, but it prefers stealing from Ring Arcanists. Some local Ring Arcanists have already had important items stolen. Be careful, but do not use Ring Arcanist methods, or it will become very formidable. As long as our anti-theft measures are tight enough, it will give up even if it comes after us."
Shade recalled what he had seen at Professor Manning's place and said:
"An ordinary old professor I know was robbed as well. The thief used wire to hook up the latch on the inside of the window, opened a 1st Floor window, entered the house, and stole a vase."
"I have heard something similar."
Priest Augustus said as he wiped his pipe:
