There was no doubt that this card had been left by that mysterious "junior."
And this card had been "printed."
In reality, only a few minutes had passed since the time of his "death."
In other words...
The junior who had killed him had already predicted that he would "resurrect."
She knew about the "Death game," and was certain that he would come back to life from it.
Thinking back carefully, the other party had casually pulled out a pistol in a country with such good public security, only to shoot an utterly ordinary college student like him. She had even said some strange things...
It really was rather "abnormal."
Still, it was not surprising that she was connected to something like the "Death game," which was equally "beyond common sense."
But if that was the case...
The advantages provided by his original profession and "items" would not be so significant.
After all, she at least knew that those things existed.
It was even highly possible...
That woman had personally participated in the "Death game" as well.
Lin Yu took a deep breath and calmed down again.
"Looks like I can only 'accept the invitation.'"
The second line of text on the card...
Contained a "time" and an "address."
"Friday, 20:00, No. 940 Changming Street, Shangnan District, Jiang City."
This was definitely an "invitation" left by the person who had killed him.
As for what he would encounter after accepting the invitation...
Lin Yu still had no idea.
However, aside from "accepting the invitation," he seemed to have no other choice.
After all...
Although she was the person who had killed him, she was also currently the only thing Lin Yu knew of in reality that was "connected" to this game.
But.
Today was Wednesday, and it had only just passed "midnight."
In other words, there were nearly three full days until the "time" written on the card!
That was enough time for Lin Yu to do many things.
But the most important thing right now was...
"It's time to go back to sleep."
Lin Yu walked off the stage, went backstage to change out of his costume, put on his plain black hoodie and track pants, slung the backpack containing his script over his shoulders, and left the Drama club.
He still had rehearsals tomorrow and would be performing onstage that evening, so of course he had to get a good rest tonight.
Even though he had just experienced something as absurd as the "Death game," Lin Yu had no intention of disrupting tomorrow's "performance" plans because of it.
One important reason he had come back alive was so that he could continue "performing"...
If he stopped performing and living properly because of something like this...
Wouldn't that be putting the cart before the horse?
After locking the Drama club's doors, Lin Yu took out his key and unlocked the bicycle outside.
Lin Yu's bicycle was just as plain. It was an ordinary black Mountain bike.
Pushing the Mountain bike, he walked to the south gate of Jiangcheng Media University. The security guard smiled and nodded at Lin Yu before unlocking the small side gate for him.
"Xiao Lin, practicing by yourself until this late again?"
Lin Yu smiled. "Yeah. You should get some rest early too, Uncle... Oh, right, Uncle, have you seen a girl dressed like a Japanese middle schooler, with two braids?"
He asked tentatively. After receiving the guard's bewildered shake of the head, Lin Yu smiled again and gave him a slight nod.
"I was just asking. Sorry for the trouble, Uncle."
Lin Yu pushed his bike through the small gate and left the Jiangcheng Media campus.
He rode through Jiang City at night.
After passing two intersections, Lin Yu arrived home. He was a Jiang City native, and since his home was not far from the university, he had simply chosen not to live in the dormitory.
He quietly pushed open the door. The old-fashioned two-bedroom apartment was quite cramped; standing at the entrance, he could see the entire place at a glance.
Although the apartment was old and small, it was decorated warmly. Potted greenery was everywhere, and there was even a fish tank on the small tea table in the living room.
Two dishes of leftovers sat beneath a mesh cover on the dining table, which was covered with a floral tablecloth. The rice cooker was still on its keep-warm setting.
The photograph hanging on the wall had been taken only last year. It showed the entrance of Jiangcheng Media University, beside a stone bearing the university's name. A young, round-faced woman who looked seventy to eighty percent like Lin Yu was flashing an exuberant V sign with one hand while wrapping the other around Lin Yu, who stood beside her with a shy, youthful face and his head lowered awkwardly.
Lin Yu carefully took off his shoes, unplugged the rice cooker, then carried his slippers back to his bedroom.
Afterward, he put his backpack and clothes on the desk beside the bed before wearily collapsing onto it.
"Phew..."
Lin Yu lay on the bed and fell asleep within seconds.
He slept without dreaming and opened his eyes promptly at seven the next morning.
He left his room, washed up, and came to the dining table.
The leftover dishes and rice from the previous night had already been turned into a fresh plate of fried rice with leftovers.
A note was stuck beside the fried rice.
"You skipped dinner again last night. Just wait until you come home tonight!"
A simple drawing of an angry face had been added to the note.
Lin Yu picked up the note, folded it gently, and tossed it into the wastebasket beneath the table.
Although he had little appetite, he sensed the force behind the simple drawing, so he obediently sat down and finished the fried rice made with stir-fried green beans and pork and shredded potatoes.
Afterward, Lin Yu rode to school.
Although he was a sophomore, Lin Yu happened to have no classes today.
He had arrived at school early, naturally heading straight for the Drama club.
When Lin Yu reached the Drama club's activity center, someone he had expected was already standing on the stage of the Theater there.
The petite girl in a white T-shirt and baseball cap was holding the script in one hand with the other planted on her hip. A black marker was clamped between her teeth as she paced back and forth across the stage.
Hearing Lin Yu's footsteps, the petite girl did not even raise her head. In a lively tone, she said,
"Oh, my dear 'leading man,' you're here early again today... Everyone isn't here yet, so find somewhere and practice your lines."
The girl, who looked no more than one and a half meters tall, was named Shen Bingmiao. She was a junior this year and Lin Yu's senior.
She was also the Drama club's president, screenwriter, and Director.
Seeing Shen Bingmiao, Lin Yu thought for a moment before speaking.
"President, I have a favor to ask."
Hearing Lin Yu, Shen Bingmiao raised her head, her gaze somewhat strange.
She flicked the brim of her cap and said, "Now this is strange. You're actually taking the initiative to ask me for help... What is it? My dear 'ace.'"
"I want to find someone. She might be a freshman."
Lin Yu carefully chose his words.
Shen Bingmiao raised an eyebrow. "You should post that on the confession wall."
"No. First, I need the results rather urgently. Second, I suspect she might not be from our university," Lin Yu said calmly. "So this isn't something an ordinary person can do."
Hearing Lin Yu, Shen Bingmiao laughed.
"I understand what you mean. That's quite a difficult request—but I agree. Who can blame you for being my 'ace'!"
Shen Bingmiao spat out the pen she had been holding in her mouth, threw the script onto the floor, and hopped off the stage in two steps.
"Let's go!"
Shen Bingmiao patted Lin Yu on the arm and said cheerfully,
"Now? Aren't we waiting for them to rehearse?"
"We've rehearsed it many times. Missing this final one won't matter... In my opinion, the lead actor's condition is the most important!"
"So I'll help you solve your problem first!"
Before you continue
