Since Hannah and Lin Yu communicated directly through their minds, they weren't limited by the speed of speech in reality.
Even so, it took Lin Yu a little while to fully understand everything Hannah had said after she finished explaining such a large amount of information.
"The weakness is the eyes, especially the ones on the inside? I understand."
Lin Yu looked up and saw that April's struggles in midair were growing weaker and weaker.
The Ink-Black Twin-Headed Octopus had clearly almost strangled April unconscious.
"It's time to act."
Lin Yu let out a long breath and filled his lungs with air again. He stepped onto the edge of the tilted ship—then, with his arms crossed over his chest, he jumped straight down.
"Splash!"
His upright figure fell like a suspended sword, piercing the surface of the water. The acceleration and inertia brought by gravity sent him three or four meters beneath the surface in an instant.
He opened his eyes and saw the enormous monster beneath the dimly lit surface.
The Two-headed Octopus, larger than the entire ship, was coiled beneath the vessel that was about to sink. Its four pairs of square-pupiled eyes locked onto Lin Yu, who had suddenly entered the water.
"Croak, Director, I understand. Cousin Zha said that these octopuses have a nesting habit. It probably thought this sunken ship was a suitable size and was preparing to drag it back to its nest!"
Lin Yu narrowed his eyes. "Is its nest nearby?"
"Yes, Director. The sea monster probably planned the location of the attack."
Hannah spoke.
"I understand."
Lin Yu felt that there were more and more suspicious aspects to this "attack."
But... investigating what lay behind it wasn't important right now.
What mattered was dealing with the trouble in front of him.
