The five Grass ninja's pupils dilated as they scattered and fled in an instant.

"Ah!!" One Grass ninja failed to escape completely and had an arm torn off by Ye Wuyue's attack.

"This brat isn't right. Hurry up and join forces to kill him!" After witnessing Ye Wuyue's formidable combat strength, one Grass ninja shouted to the other four.

"You damn brat! I'll kill you!" The Grass ninja who had lost an arm glared viciously at Ye Wuyue. Having lost an arm, he could no longer form hand seals. He had already lost his value; even if he killed this child and returned, he certainly wouldn't survive.

The Grass ninja roared and charged at Ye Wuyue.

"Idiot! Ignore him and bombard this brat to death with long-range ninjutsu!" The Grass ninja who had just given the order shouted at the others again.

"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"

"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"

"Lightning Release: Lightning Ball!"

"Earth Release: Rock Pillar Spear!"

Four ninjutsu, each at least C-rank, combined into an attack containing wind, fire, lightning, and earth, hurtling toward Ye Wuyue. At the same time, they engulfed the Grass ninja charging at him.

"Pride of heaven, walls forged of iron, dragon strides, lion roars, tiger howls, wolves race—sever heaven and earth before they collapse. Bakudo #81: Splitting Void!"

Ye Wuyue calmly finished the chant. A massive defensive wall rose before him, blocking both the Grass ninja and every enemy attack outside.

"Arghhh!!!"

The Grass ninja drowned in the torrent of ninjutsu let out a miserable cry. His body twisted before completely melting away.

Smoke and dust filled the air, leaving the four Grass ninja unable to see what was happening.

"Is he dead?" one Grass ninja asked as he stared into the dust.

"With an attack that powerful, that brat probably hasn't even left scraps behind," another Grass ninja replied. Then, as if remembering something, he added, "Right, hurry and look for something that can prove that brat's identity. Otherwise, we're finished when we go back!"

With that, he ran into the dust cloud left behind by the ninjutsu barrage.

"Destructive Spell #4: White Lightning." A calm, icy voice rang out. At the same time, a silver bolt of lightning pierced through the Grass ninja's body with blinding speed. Though it hadn't struck a vital point, the lightning coursing through him paralyzed his body.

How could this be?

The Grass ninja stared in disbelief at the figure gradually emerging as the dust dispersed. He hadn't even gotten much dust on himself.

All four Grass ninja's eyes widened. They couldn't imagine how this child had blocked their attack.

But Ye Wuyue clearly had no obligation to explain it to them.

"Destructive Spell #31: Crimson Fire Cannon."

A red fireball shot from Ye Wuyue's palm, flying straight toward the Grass ninja's chest. Though Crimson Fire Cannon wasn't especially powerful, it was more than enough to put a hole through his chest.

Seeing Ye Wuyue's disdainful gaze, the Grass ninja paralyzed by White Lightning was enraged.

The veins on his neck bulged, his face twisted into a savage expression, and he actually broke free from White Lightning's paralysis.

"Are you looking down on me, you Uchiha Clan brat?!"

The Grass ninja's speed suddenly surged. He sidestepped the fireball and flashed in front of Ye Wuyue with a Body Flicker.

"I'm... a Jonin!"

The Grass ninja raised his leg and delivered a side kick at Ye Wuyue. His sudden burst of speed caught Ye Wuyue off guard, leaving him no choice but to block with his arms.

Ye Wuyue was kicked flying.

"Besides, taijutsu is what I'm best at!" the Grass ninja said smugly.

Seeing this, the other three Grass ninja immediately threw kunai and shuriken at Ye Wuyue in midair, following up on the damage.

"Heh heh, you can't dodge in the air now, can you?" one of them sneered.

Yet... all their attacks missed. Ye Wuyue, who had been kicked away, remained suspended in the air as though something in midair supported his footing. The kunai and shuriken flying toward him all brushed past his feet.

How... was that possible?

The four Grass ninja, including the Jonin, were all dumbfounded. They had rarely seen such a technique. The only thing vaguely similar was Iwagakure's Light-Weight Rock Technique, but this wasn't the same.

"Hahahahaha! Now this is a real battle!" Ye Wuyue suddenly laughed loudly. At the same time, he slowly stood upright in midair and looked down at the four Grass ninja below.

His eyes suddenly changed. Two tomoe appeared in each eye. Ye Wuyue sensed it faintly, but he didn't pay it any mind.

"A Jonin. Very good. I hope you don't die too quickly! Let's start with a friendly greeting. Destructive Spell #73: Twin Lotus Blue Firefall!"

A massive blaze of explosive flames flew toward the four Grass ninja on the ground.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!"

One Grass ninja slammed both hands onto the ground, and an earthen wall rose up to block Ye Wuyue's explosive flames. However, the wall was completely shattered as well.

"This one's for that kick." At the same time, Ye Wuyue used Shunpo to flash to the Jonin's side and sent a side kick at him. The Jonin raised his arms to block, but was kicked more than ten meters away.

The three Grass ninja charged at him with kunai after seeing him approach. Ye Wuyue grabbed one of their arms with one hand and threw him away.

"Bakudo #8: Repulse, Twin!"

Two spiritual power shields appeared on the backs of Ye Wuyue's left and right hands. He then raised the backs of his hands to block the kunai thrust by the other two Grass ninja, sending them staggering back from the rebound.

"Bakudo #4: Crawling Rope!"

A yellow rope suddenly appeared and bound the two Grass ninja's feet, causing them both to fall straight to the ground.

With Shunpo, he closed in at point-blank range. "Destructive Spell #33: Blue Firefall!"

The explosive flames struck the two Grass ninja on the ground at close range.

"Argh!!"

Two cries of agony rang out. Half of their upper bodies had been blasted apart and burned away by Ye Wuyue's flames.

"Damn it, go die!"

Even though three of them had already died, they still showed no intention of fleeing. The Grass ninja Ye Wuyue had thrown away hurled an explosive-tag kunai at him.

"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"

Then, the Grass ninja rapidly formed hand seals, and a fire dragon charged toward Ye Wuyue as well.

The Jonin charged at Ye Wuyue again.

"Bakudo #39: Circular Shield!"

A circular barrier appeared, blocking the explosive-tag kunai and the fire dragon.

"Bakudo #30: Three-Spike Mouth Flash!"

Three pointed, beak-shaped beams shot out from the flames, striking the Grass ninja's waist and both hands. They carried him backward before pinning him to the wall.

At that moment, the Jonin had also reached Ye Wuyue.

"Great Whirlwind!"

The Jonin leaped into the air and used the momentum generated by his spin to deliver a crushing kick at Ye Wuyue.
