Background / History

Originally an ordinary giant bat, the God of Darkness obtained a drop of miraculous blood that had flowed from the Yin-Yang Land. The blood transformed it, granted it the potential for repeated evolution, and eventually condensed into the Bloodthirsty Heart in its chest. It used this power to create Vampiric Beings, absorb their Faith Power, and proclaim itself the God of Darkness. 668

Tens of thousands of years before the present events, it and its forces attacked the humans of the Fengdu Ghost Domain. The Ma Family, Mao Family, and Jing Hong Clan eventually joined forces against it; accounts describe it as being defeated, killed, and sealed, while the God of Darkness later states that it survived gravely wounded and had spent the intervening years recovering in its Burial Ground. 604 650

Its apparent return first manifests through a clone awakened from a tomb. The clone withstands attacks from six Beast Masters, Exorcist Divine Dragons, and Demon-Slaying Talismans before Chen Xuan destroys it. The destruction opens access to the true burial site, where the true God of Darkness remains inside a massive wooden coffin. 597 599 600 604 605

The God of Darkness is a colossal, nearly hundred-meter-tall humanoid creature with the head of a grotesque bat and enormous fleshy wings. Its body emits blood-red mist and overwhelming dark energy. 662 668
