"Accept the quest?"

The system issued its inquiry. Reiner naturally had no intention of refusing. After all, this quest had no time limit and no punishment for failure. It also overlapped with the Main Quest to a certain degree, so completing it would be a tremendous help with the Main Quest.

"Accept the quest!" Reiner said as he closed the system panel and fell asleep with his eyes shut.

Around eight the next morning, sunlight illuminated the earth and drove away the darkness of night. Reiner got out of bed. He was quite unaccustomed to having no maid to attend to him. The maids at Kahn Castle had only brought him his washing supplies before leaving, nowhere near as attentive and gentle as his two little maids at home.

After spitting out the water in his mouth, Reiner left the room. By then, the Moreland Family's army had completely assembled outside the castle. They had not entered the city with Reiner, as this was an unwritten rule among nobles: unless a castle possessed an absolute advantage in military strength, another noble's army could not enter it.

"Baron Kahn, I'm heading back to my territory. Come visit me when you have the time," Reiner said to Baron Kahn, whose body was wrapped in linen bandages.

"All right. I'll visit when I have the time! Safe travels!" Baron Kahn said with a nod.

After bidding farewell to Baron Kahn, Reiner led the army away from Kahn Castle. Only then did he begin carefully observing the castle's condition.

Most of the villages along the way had been reduced to ruins and rubble. Many houses had been burned down, while villagers with numb expressions worked to repair their homes. At the edges of the villages, Reiner could clearly see rows of small burial mounds.
