The weather in July was not too hot yet. Even in the southernmost cities of the Federation, the temperature was only around thirty degrees Celsius.
At this temperature, sunny days did not feel unbearable. Instead, every gust of wind carried away some of the heat hidden beneath the skin, bringing a very special kind of coolness! In the central park of Bu Peien, Mr. Truman was giving a speech on the theme of "Letting the World Know Us."
Many reporters and citizens had come to the event, and almost all of them were his supporters! Foreign countries also attached great importance to this election. Compared with Mr. Truman, who had a military background, both Gefra and Peng Joe actually hoped that the Federal Government would produce a pure "politician."
That was the choice that served their interests, rather than a soldier.
But the people liked him.
