The plane dipped slightly at the end of the deck, but was quickly pulled up and climbed sharply into the sky.

Then came the second plane.

The third plane! By the time the four reconnaissance planes reached the airspace around the fleet, three light warships on the outer perimeter and two civilian vessels inside had already been hit.

Two of the warships were capsizing. The transport ship carrying Gefra's scientists had been hit by two torpedoes in succession, and cracks had begun to appear where the second torpedo struck!

Another cargo ship that had been hit also began taking on water. The situation was not particularly dire, but some of the artwork aboard it was in serious trouble.

That artwork could not be exposed to seawater! Beneath the sea, the submarines were basically all retreating. Only the two submarines directly behind the fleet had yet to leave.

Naval Headquarters had ordered them to sink the cargo ship carrying the scientists at all costs. Now that the first attack had produced results, the Peng Joe fleet began changing formation.

But no matter how they changed formation, the cargo ship that had remained where it was, lost power, and begun listing and breaking apart could not move.

It had become a target. Sending two more torpedoes its way now would completely destroy it!

The captains of both submarines knew Naval Headquarters' orders perfectly well: at all costs!

As the torpedoes were launched again, the planes in the sky quickly locked onto the two submarines that had yet to flee the scene.

The reconnaissance planes reported their positions by radio. Soon, two planes carrying depth charges took off from the deck and flew toward them.
