While the emperor of the Peng Joe Empire lay awake because of certain matters, on the other side of the world, some people were awake as well.

For those who lived by the sea, the sound of splashing water was like a natural lullaby. With the sea breeze blowing, anyone could sit in a rocking chair and drift off before they knew it.

A patrol team of Peng Joe People drove at a steady speed along the seaside boardwalk. Small searchlights mounted on two armored cars swept across the calm sea.

They were conducting a routine patrol.

However, they were not particularly tense, because this was not Peng Joe. This was Gefra.

With the war on the mainland raging so fiercely, no one believed the Federation could spare a force to attack Gefra, so the patrols were not especially strict.

When the patrol team's taillights were almost out of sight, several people pushed a small boat onto the beach from behind a backlit reef.

They quickly camouflaged the boat with fallen leaves and the like, then picked up flashlights and shone them several times toward the distant dense forest.

A moment later, someone in the forest began flashing a flashlight as well.

After the two sides conducted a brief "exchange" through lights and codes, the people in the forest pushed a handcart to the edge of the woods.

"Did you bring the goods?"

The leader, dressed like a local Gefran, asked in a lowered voice. His gaze kept darting across the faces of the people before him, showing how cautious he was.

The people behind him were also watching their surroundings. Two of them even had their hands tucked inside their clothes! One of the men who had come from the sea took off his backpack and tossed it over.
