Lin Qi's Perspective

We often use the term "isolated incident" to affirm the "purity" of something.

This does not mean that the content of the matter is particularly noble or pure. Rather, it means that it has no connection to anything else that has already happened or has yet to happen.

Moreover, this expression is used more often for matters related to politics.

People often say that something is an "isolated incident" with no connection to anything else. But how many political events can truly be as pure as an "isolated incident"?

Not a single one!

Politics itself was driven by interests. Without the drive of self-interest, a series of political actions would have been impossible. That was precisely why politics had no "isolated incidents."

What did it mean when the Prime Minister shook hands with Lin Qi in public? If the Prime Minister or Lin Qi had explained it themselves, they might well have told everyone that it was merely a simple handshake, with no more complicated or deeper purpose. It could be viewed as a pure and straightforward matter that did not require excessive interpretation.

But was that really true?

Not long ago, the Prime Minister had still been thinking of using Lin Qi as an example. Now, in the blink of an eye, he was shaking hands with him and chatting amiably for a few moments. No one would believe that there was nothing else going on behind it.
