The Lava Giant Worm let out a miserable scream. Dense cracks appeared across the rocks covering its body, and magma-like blood flowed from those fissures.

After only several volleys, countless fragments of rock came rustling down from its massive body. They struck the ground with crisp clatters before being crushed into powder beneath its bulk, leaving a trail in its wake.

This was a tactic monsters often used. It would conceal itself in smoke, intending to deliver a fatal blow to its prey from within the haze and kill it.

In the past, prey trapped in the smoke would panic and stumble about wildly, only to be swallowed whole by the Lava Giant Worm bursting from the thick smoke.

However, the Dragon Scale Monks' tactical goggles could clearly detect heat sources and see through the Lava Giant Worm's disguise. They dodged and maneuvered back and forth while raising their weapons to fire. Rather than thinning out, the incoming bullets became even denser, like a raging storm.
