"It's useless, Keosius! From the moment I descended upon the Material Plane, your defeat was already inevitable!"

Tiamat's voice was incomparably cold, as though it came from a deep, shadowy valley, echoing around Keosius's ears.

Beneath the Three-headed Great Dragon flowed filthy, foul blood, spreading into roiling dark-red mist. The blood mist condensed into savage phantoms of Five-Colored Dragons, howling and roaring as they charged relentlessly toward August City.

Many of those Five-Colored Dragons were as large as hills, some even possessing the size of Ancient Dragons. Any one of them could have destroyed a city on its own.

Such was Tiamat's authority as the God of Evil Dragons.

A mere drop of blood was enough to create monsters comparable to true dragons.

"Those are—stop them!"

"For the Empire!"

"City-defense cannons, prepare to fire!"

Amid dull mechanical rumbling, hundreds of enormous heavy cannons extended from August's walls. They aimed at the swarm of Five-Colored Dragons below the city and fired in unison under the soldiers' control.

Boom!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The deafening artillery fire came in an unending stream like a rushing river, reverberating throughout August City.

Shells rained down like a violent storm. The explosions engulfed a strip thousands of meters long and hundreds of meters wide beyond the walls in blazing fire, reducing every Five-Colored Dragon within it to charred remains.

After several rounds of bombardment, the ground outside the city was littered with blackened flesh, bones, and fragments of shells. Even the earth itself had been shaved down by three feet.

Yet Five-Colored Dragons continued to be born beneath Tiamat, charging madly toward August as dragon breath of every color descended like a tidal wave.

"All troops, heed my command—"

"In the name of Your Majesty Keosius, unleash saturation fire upon the invading enemy!"
