Lailanier fell silent for a moment.
The information provided by the intelligence officer contained nothing more about the Silver Witch Church—no throne, no location for its main cathedral. Every lead pointed only to the Thunder Apostle, and everything was shrouded in mystery.
Yet only a couple of days after the Thunder Apostle had begun operating, before her reputation had spread, Director Nameless had already presented herself as a throne of the Silver Witch Church and asked whether Lailanier wished to join.
That could only mean that Director Nameless had known about the Thunder Apostle long ago. Her status as a throne was most likely real as well.
Seeing her subtle expression, Ivette tilted her head and quietly asked, "What's wrong?"
"That... Director—no, Your Excellency Throne, may I ask whether I can join the church? I am also very devout toward the Goddess." Lailanier spoke in a humble tone.
Of course, she was trying to seize an opportunity. Whether it was the divine favor represented by the Thunder Apostle or the mysterious relationship between Director Nameless and the Wind Ranger, both gave her ample reason to keep working for Ivette. It had been one thing when she had not taken it seriously before, but things were different now. From an investment perspective, the Silver Witch Church was full of potential.
Perhaps one day, the Silver Witch Church could become the Free Alliance's third major church faction, on par with the Sunflare Sect and the Cloud Summit Sect!
"Weren't you unwilling before?" Ivette looked at her.
This Half-Elf woman, who carried herself like a strong businesswoman, immediately looked embarrassed. Her fingers unconsciously rubbed the hem of her clothes as she forced a smile. "No, you've misunderstood...
