Judging by how it had been received, this was a distress signal based on mental magic, and the other party probably could not hear any ordinary response. However, using the Soul Brain to analyze it, she was still able to quickly pinpoint the source of the signal. It was coming from somewhere inside the Giant Mutant's body.
After hesitating for a moment, she decided that since she was already here, she might as well explore deeper. Though the warning from her intuition still lingered in her mind, her true body remained outside, so at least her life was not in danger.
She then turned Shadow Tendrils into blades, cleared out the surroundings, withdrew the other tendrils holding the Giant Mutant's mouth open, and charged into its esophagus.
As she traveled, she saw that this place was not completely dark. Faint red and white light flowed along the flesh walls, illuminating the grotesque masses of flesh and the independent Mutated Creatures within.
Running through the passage, she had the strange feeling of entering a tentacle nest from some adult game. Wet, slippery flesh membranes lay beneath her feet, polyps and glands hung overhead, and she occasionally encountered highly corrosive yellow-green fluid. Even the hardened shell created by her Shadow Tendrils was corroded until it hissed and smoked.
After turning several corners in succession, then deliberately breaking through a wall to take a shortcut, Ivette found a viscous membrane hanging semi-transparently before her. Wonderful colors flowed through the darkness behind it, like the entrance to another mysterious world.
