After hearing Irene's voice, a trace of complexity appeared in the giant wolf's pain-filled eyes. Soon, the light of Magic Circuits emerged across its body, and it began to shrink, changing from a giant wolf as large as a van into a tall, lean man.

Perhaps it was part of his ability. He retained a layer of jet-black wolf fur over his body, covering most areas and keeping him from being completely naked.

Ivette stood beside him and silently examined Werewolf Killer's face. There was no doubt that he was Tennyson Norton, a black-haired young man with deep-set eyes.

But his gaze was strange at the moment, vacant one instant and lucid the next, as though he were fighting a second personality for control.

"Tennyson, what happened? Why did you become like this?" Irene asked anxiously.

Tennyson opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but the next second, he suddenly clutched his throat and struggled violently. Only after Ivette pulled his hand away did he mutter in a daze, "Kill me... Please... kill me..."

Irene froze. After finally catching Tennyson, she had never expected this to be his request. It sounded as though... he had no control over himself.

"You can't control yourself?" Ivette heard the pain and struggle in his words.

"I... I am... no, I can't say..." Tennyson panted heavily and stared at the ground. After a long while, he finally said in a low voice, "Kill me... This is... the only outcome I can control..."

Ivette's delicate brows furrowed slightly. She roughly understood why the giant wolf had neither fled nor dodged earlier, instead fighting her to the death.

He had wanted to die from the beginning?

Irene continued pressing him. "Why? Was it Scale Shedding Organism? Did they force you?"

Tennyson did not
