This was a world that belonged to the soul. Color was a phenomenon created by matter absorbing, refracting, and scattering light. In the world of the soul, there was no light, and naturally, nothing brought about by light.

Yet Ian could still sense it... Though this world had no color, it remained dazzlingly vibrant... soul-stirring.
