This was a thought that caused barely a ripple in Ian's heart. In truth, ever since he learned from the Second Prince that Grand Duke Solin was actually Inaga II's disciple, he had considered this possibility. That was why he had appeared as the Gloomvale Knight.

Within the miniature world, already beginning to tremble and shake, Ian and the Dead River Armament controlled by Grand Duke Solin stood at opposite ends of Swordscar Gully.

Both sides fell silent for a while. The Dead River Armament slowly floated in midair, but this time, there was none of the blood-soaked gale and rain stirred up when Viscount Avak had controlled it. Only a peaceful, tranquil darkness spread outward, carrying serene moonlight as it formed a silver moon above the entire miniature world.

The inherited bloodline, Darknight Silvershadow, was also known as the "Moon-Candle Bird." It was a sub-entity Magic Beast that dwelled in Terra's ionosphere, feeding primarily on the endless swarms of tiny Origin Matter plankton in the atmosphere. In moonless black skies, it released its own silver radiance, drawing great masses of drifting creatures together to devour them.

At such times, the night sky looked as though someone had lit a silver candle at the very peak of the heavens, while endless candlelight gathered toward it from all directions, shining like a true moon.

It was not truly a bird, but a creature similar to a jellyfish, occupying an ecological niche close to that of a dragon-whale. It was merely that people of Terra in those days could not distinguish whether things flying in the sky were birds or some other creature, and so they named it thus.
