The cheers rang across the hills beside Layan City. They surrounded their young lord, looking at the man who had brought them this unbelievable victory with incredulous reverence.
From beginning to end, the Magnetic Storm Armor unit led by Ian had lost only one man. His armor's power unit had malfunctioned, allowing the mountain folk to capture him. They had wanted to torture the secret of these new weapons and how to operate them out of the young man.
But honestly, which soldier present could possibly understand the principles behind these weapons? This was electromagnetic weapon technology from Ian's Earth. Without the complete blueprints Ian had provided, even an ordinary alchemist would need a month or two merely to reconstruct the underlying ideas.
The rescued captive joined the cheering crowd as well.
Ian, meanwhile, let out a long breath. Looking in the direction the mountain folk had fled, his heart was filled with mixed emotions.
