Pioneer Platform.
A Metatron Cube composed of countless minute geometric forms, a core that emitted rays of radiation reaching straight into the distance.
As the cube continuously shifted, its many rays traced three intersecting halos around its outer edge. Like Star Rings, these halos formed a platform. Complex inscription arrays flickered across the rings, waxing and waning like breathing.
This was Ian's Aether True Form.
An Aether True Form did not necessarily have to be the embodiment of some living creature. Terra's bloodline true forms gave people that impression only because the vast majority of Fourth Energy Level powerhouses chose the image of their "bloodline origin"—the form they knew best and that could most rapidly enhance their combat strength—as their Aether True Form.
But that was not absolute. Just as true forms could transform into "fantasy forms" that had never existed before, a person's Aether True Form could be a dragon, a dragon's Aether True Form could be a natural phenomenon, and if one wished, it could naturally become a crown or a platform.
For example, one of the most renowned Fifth Energy Level powerhouses, Zheng Yinchuan, the spirit-forging craftsman of the Frontier Reach, had an Aether True Form consisting of a hammer and an anvil. Everything he looked upon was raw material, and with a single hammer blow, he could forge it into another form.
And Ian's platform was precisely his nature.
The nature that wanted to obtain everything yet refused to give up anything; that wanted everyone's help yet was willing to help everyone.
A greedy nature.
Its core ability was to find a possibility in a parallel spacetime connected to himself, then obtain his particular "Aether True Form" from that parallel spacetime.
This could work in tandem with the enhanced ability of the Guiding Star, which could
