The Glazed Imperial Dragon and Fairy Ian stared at the Second Prince, Mikael, rather speechlessly.
He had said ten seconds, and it had indeed been ten seconds. The instant a streak of golden light flashed before their eyes, the Sun God Bird had reached his destination.
Ian looked utterly speechless, while Mikael wore an innocent expression instead. "You were looking for me, so I came looking for you. Why are you so angry? Did I interrupt you fellow disciples from catching up?"
"Not really. You just got here so fast that it defies common sense."
Ian was actually relieved that Mikael still needed ten seconds to get here. That gave him time to summon the Fairy Body in an emergency. Otherwise, was he supposed to let Mikael awkwardly chat with Mahdi's identity?
But at that thought, something occurred to Ian. "Speaking of which, Your Highness, your speed... seems faster than Prince Carlos's?"
"I practiced seriously."
Mikael waved a hand, seeming unconcerned. "My elder brother doesn't particularly like the Sun God Bird bloodline. Although it is indeed powerful, and he can pull all sorts of tricks with it, he prefers researching his own psychic abilities."
"I'm different. I have nothing else to distract me, so I focused wholeheartedly on studying ascension techniques. Of course I'm faster than him."
As he spoke, Mikael casually found a protrusion on Dark Cloud Peak and sat down. His posture did not resemble that of a prince of the Sertal Royal Family in the slightest. He looked more like an old farmer squatting by the fields after tiring himself out planting crops.
