I'm truly sorry to everyone who has followed the story this far. I can't keep this book going anymore. It took me an entire afternoon just to force out these four thousand words today.
The traffic has been declining every day. No matter what, it used to get over ten thousand a day, but now it's only around six or seven thousand.
But income is only one reason for this (probably accounting for about thirty percent). The bigger reason is that I simply can't keep writing. I've been getting stuck every day lately, and it feels as miserable as constipation.
Those of you who have made it this far have probably noticed that the quality has been steadily declining in the later stages. The follow rates and update requests clearly reflect that problem. Personally, Lao Yu is quite satisfied with the earlier parts.
On one hand, Lao Yu's writing ability is limited. The whole novel is 1.7 million characters long, the longest book Lao Yu has ever written. The further it went, the more restrictions there were and the harder it became to control. On the other hand, this extreme martial arts style of story has more or less reached its limits here.
The fights and showing off in the early stages were a blast to write, but once power levels began stacking up in the later stages, that became harder and harder to write. The passion from before is completely gone. Especially since I never expected the story to run this long in the first place, there are actually quite a few holes in the realm-setting.
The biggest issue is that the structure collapsed. It probably started around the time of subduing the southern martial world, when I took far too big a step at once. The protagonist went
