Gabriel stared speechlessly at Van Helsing. Had this reincarnation of his landed headfirst when he was born? Why was he so unreliable?
Gabriel said firmly, "He reeks of Hell. If he's saving the world, it must be so he can destroy it. He must be eliminated."
"First, I can't beat him. Second, even if I could, I would never turn against him."
Van Helsing shook his head and said resolutely, "The guy might be an asshole who chases women everywhere and has a vicious tongue, but he really is a savior. There's no doubt about that."
"Idiot!" Gabriel snapped. "If we don't eliminate him now, it'll be too late when he destroys the world!"
"If I'm an idiot, doesn't that make you one too?"
Van Helsing shot back, then said, "Enough of this crap. Gabriel, why did you reincarnate? What exactly is wrong with you?"
Gabriel clearly had no intention of answering. He raised his hand and swept it forcefully, trying to drive Van Helsing out of the dream and end all this.
Then... well, nothing happened to Van Helsing. The dream remained. Stunned, Gabriel waved his right hand repeatedly, but it was still useless. Nothing in the dream changed.
"What are you doing? Swatting mosquitoes? Heaven has mosquitoes too?"
Van Helsing asked in confusion. Gabriel looked out the window, his expression darkening. This so-called savior was even stronger than he had imagined. Even Gabriel couldn't destroy the dream he had forcibly constructed.
Gabriel knew that unless Van Helsing also agreed to end the dream, none of this would end. He said coldly, "I reincarnated to protect the world, not because I was corrupted, as you suspected."
Gabriel knew all of Van Helsing's memories. After all, he was Van Helsing, but Van Helsing was not him.
