"Fine, fine. If you say it wasn't, then it wasn't."
On the other side, hearing Athena's explanation, Andrew said indifferently, "Whatever your goal is, I won't agree to it. Please leave."
Athena glared fiercely at Andrew. She had never encountered anyone capable of making her this angry. She took a deep breath and calmed herself before saying,
"Director of S.W.O.R.D., Artemis is too innocent. She can't complete your task. Only I can win over those gods and complete the New System.
"Besides, the prophecy says Zeus will die by my hand, or my brother's. That's why he devoured my mother in the first place. I believe I can help you deal with Zeus."
"Got it. I'll consider it."
Andrew replied with blatant perfunctoriness. Though Athena was furious, she did not give up and continued trying to persuade him. Unfortunately, Andrew could not care less.
In the end, Athena left in a huff. Andrew watched her retreating back and sneered inwardly. She was too used to being high and mighty; she simply did not know how to ask for help.
Did Andrew need Athena? The answer was no. While Athena joining could make his New System plan proceed more smoothly, it could still succeed without her.
Did she really think Andrew was some harmless pushover? Since he dared dump the responsibility on Artemis, he was confident he could make her succeed. There was no doubt about that.
Therefore, Andrew did not accept the partnership Athena proposed. If she wanted to join the New System and become a leader—or even the second-in-command in the future—that was fine, but she had to recognize her identity and position.
Until Athena bowed her head, Andrew would not let her join the core. He had no desire for power to slip from his hands in the
