"You again, Homelander. Why can't you just be a good person?"
Soldier Boy shook his head and spoke like a disappointed father. "Is it really that fun, always playing the villain? Haven't you ever thought about being a genuinely good person, someone everyone respects?"
"I do want everyone's respect, but I also want freedom—the freedom to do whatever I want."
Homelander said, "Soldier Boy, die. Today is the day you meet your end."
As he spoke, Homelander's eyes glowed red, and two enormous laser beams as thick as bowls blasted toward Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy fired a red Nuclear Energy Wave from his chest, fiercely clashing with Homelander's attack.
The surrounding temperature skyrocketed. Countless buildings burst into raging flames, as though the apocalypse had arrived.
"Why has Homelander become an enemy?"
Rose and the newly awakened Cybil stared at it all, dumbfounded. Wasn't Homelander a superhero? Why was he fighting Soldier Boy?
And hadn't Old Sera already turned over a new leaf? What on earth was going on?
"I hate fire."
Alesha's expression darkened. She had nearly burned to death before, so it was only natural that she hated fire. After a moment's thought, she placed her hand on Triangle Head's head, and his collapsing body rapidly healed.
That wasn't all. Next, Triangle Head's iron pyramid head became an icy iron pyramid head. The surrounding temperature rapidly dropped, even extinguishing many of the flames.
Alesha had strengthened Triangle Head with ice power, which came from a certain monster over in Europe.
That monster was an extremist environmentalist. Furious at humanity's relentless fishing, it wanted to freeze all humans and store them in freezers, just as they did to fish.
The world was vast enough to contain every imaginable monster, and their powers were Alesha's greatest bargaining chips.
