Facing the attack from Wade's duplicate, Andrew gently raised his hand. All the incoming metal rapidly melted, then formed a gigantic Crimson Steel Spear. A huge flaming hand gripped it and swept it toward Wade's duplicate.
Alesha immediately sent Wade's duplicate soaring into the sky, narrowly avoiding the Steel Spear. In truth, she did not care much about the fight. Wade's duplicate was immortal, and her only task was to keep Andrew occupied.
Seeing that Andrew and Faora were both occupied, General Zod breathed a sigh of relief. He jumped down from the spaceship and said to Kara as she flew toward him, "Kara, you finally showed yourself."
"General Zod, why did you come looking for me?"
Hovering in midair, Kara questioned General Zod in confusion. He replied, "I found Kal-El's spaceship in space. He didn't have what I needed, which means the Codex is inside you."
A terrible premonition immediately struck Kara. She demanded loudly, "What did you do to Carl?"
General Zod fell silent for a moment before saying, "At first, I thought the Codex was inside him, so I drained all his blood. He's dead.
"Kara, this isn't my fault. It's Jor-El's fault. Everything I've done has been for Krypton's revival. You and Carl are both Kryptonians. You should sacrifice yourselves for Krypton."
"I'll kill you!"
Kara could not bear to hear another word. With a roar, she blasted two beams of heat vision at General Zod.
"Sorry, I can do that too."
General Zod's eyes glowed red, and two beams of heat vision met Kara's. He believed his strength was surely greater than hers. After all, he possessed the finest warrior genes on all of Krypton. He had been a prodigy from birth.
Unfortunately, reality was cruel. Kara's heat vision drove General Zod's beams steadily backward.
